About Speaker:
Rasso Jörg Bartenschlager is the General Manager of Al Masaood Power Division, part of the Al Masaood Group, where he leads the operations and strategic direction of a 200-person team across the UAE, Bahrain, and Iraq. With over 25 years of experience in global energy and power systems, Rasso oversees a portfolio that includes mtu, a Rolls-Royce solution, Volvo Penta, and Leroy-Somer—delivering critical power solutions across marine, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
Under his leadership, Al Masaood Power has achieved multiple milestones including regional growth records in power generation, the successful hosting of the Rolls-Royce World Distributor Conference in Abu Dhabi, and industry recognition such as Volvo Penta’s Aftermarket Importer of the Year. He has also led the division's expansion into emerging markets such as Iraq and guided its strategic alignment with national sustainability targets, including hybrid and alternative fuel solutions.
Rasso began his career as a mechanic and service engineer in southern Germany, giving him a hands-on understanding of the technical and operational foundations of the industry. His leadership style combines deep sector knowledge with a future-focused mindset, championing innovation in areas such as AI integration, smart infrastructure, and energy efficiency.
Rasso is actively driving Al Masaood Power’s contributions to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals through investment in hybrid systems, lithium-ion storage, circular economy practices, and smart grid technologies. His approach combines deep sector knowledge with practical, forward-focused thinking. He is a frequent speaker on the intersection of sustainability, digitisation, and infrastructure resilience, with a focus on AI-enabled energy solutions and regional collaboration.
